Additions & Renovations

We employ the same 3-D design services for custom additions as we do for new homes. In the case of addition design, our 3-D capabilities give you the added advantage of ensuring that your new project interfaces properly with your existing home. We not only make sure your addition looks great, and is incorporated into the whole design, but we make sure that it's buildable too.

Bid Assistance and Analysis

If you prefer to bid your Design to different builders, we assist you with that process. Often, it is difficult to decipher whether each builder's bid is including the same services. We work with you to help distill the various builder proposals, ensuring that we are comparing the same services, in order to reduce or eliminate the opportunity for unexpected, extra charges. At the end of the project, you will benefit from a quality, cost-effective build that is delivered on time and within their budget.

Construction Management

If you prefer to be more involved in the daily operations of your home renovation build, we offer Construction Management for your new project. Instead of using a general contractor, we will provide you with an experienced Construction Manager (CM), who is knowledgeable in the many Green techniques we design into your addition.  The CM will assist you in the bidding process, and recommend which among the various subcontractors to hire throughout the build process. While the CM process requires more time and effort on your part, it can save money and put you closer to the day-to-day build responsibilities.

Quality Assurance

We use a third party Energy Star rating company to evaluate not only the energy efficiency of the construction, but also to ascertain and ensure the general build quality of your important investment. Among the issues we address are: heating & air conditioning duct leakage--newly installed ducts leak an average of 30-40%; and air sealing potential of the exterior walls & roof--houses that do not leak intermittently, but yet are control-ventilated are substantially more energy efficient.
